About Spinner
Spinner is a patient, gentle, and forgiving young gelding with a laid-back personality. Brave and eager to please, he approaches his work willingly and is an enjoyable partner at home and away.
He is a good mover, stands quietly when asked, and has a good stop. His neck reining is progressing nicely, and he continues to develop softness and responsiveness through lateral work, gates, and obstacles.
At four years old, Spinner has already travelled to different facilities, stayed comfortably in an indoor barn, and ridden out independently away from home. He offers a useful foundation and an appealing temperament for someone looking to enjoy a young horse while continuing his education.

About Whiz
Whiz is a thoughtful, honest, and exceptionally steady young mare with a quiet confidence that is uncommon for her age. She approaches new places, new questions, and new experiences with curiosity rather than worry, making her a pleasure to develop and an enjoyable partner to ride.
Although she's still only three years old and will continue to benefit from experience and miles, she has consistently shown the kind of temperament that gives her an exciting future. In fact, after enjoying a short break following the Alberta Ranch Versatility Show, we recently hauled her back to the Foremost indoor arena. She stepped off the trailer and went right back to work as though no time had passed—exactly the same thoughtful, willing, uncomplicated little mare we turned out after the show.
The more places we take Whiz, the less she surprises us.
She just kept being Whiz.

Brave, Handy, and Ready for a Job
Taffy’s sale video will bring together footage of him working at home, travelling through varied terrain, completing obstacles, carrying different riders, and competing away from home.
As you watch, look beyond the individual obstacles and manoeuvres. Notice how readily he responds, how confidently he approaches new questions, and how much he enjoys having something purposeful to do. Taffy is not a horse who needs to be driven through his work. He is naturally attentive, athletic, and willing to participate.
IIdeal Home
Taffy is best suited to a confident intermediate or experienced rider who enjoys a light, responsive, athletic horse. He is not appropriate for a beginner or someone who needs a passive babysitter. He feels his rider’s aids quickly and can become unsure when cues are unbalanced, inconsistent, or heavier than necessary.
For a rider with reasonably quiet hands, an independent seat, and clear expectations, that same sensitivity becomes one of Taffy’s greatest strengths. He is soft, willing, manoeuvrable, and genuinely enjoyable when given a job and ridden thoughtfully.
We believe Taffy would be particularly well suited for:

About Taffy
Taffy is a kind, curious, and exceptionally brave 13-year-old gelding with the athleticism, responsiveness, and work ethic to make him a genuinely fun partner for the right rider. Standing 14 HH, he is compact, handy, and quick on his feet without being naturally anxious or spooky. He enjoys having a job and approaches new obstacles and environments with curiosity and willingness.
We have owned Taffy for close to six years and originally hoped he might become a lesson horse. While several of our intermediate students have ridden and enjoyed him, we found that he is too light, sensitive, and athletic to comfortably adapt to the inconsistent aids of beginner riders. That sensitivity is not fearfulness—it is responsiveness. Taffy notices his rider, responds readily to subtle cues, and does best with someone who appreciates a horse that does not need to be pushed or overmanaged.
Taffy has been ridden by Jay, Alora, and multiple intermediate riders in a halter, bosal, and snaffle. He has worked at home, travelled to clinics and shows, ridden through varied country, and completed two full Working Equitation competitions. Whether he is negotiating an obstacle, moving horses within the herd, or heading down the trail, Taffy is happiest when he has a purpose.

In hindsight, Level 1 would have represented his current education more accurately. Entering Level 2 was our decision as we learned more about the expectations of each level—not a reflection of Taffy’s willingness or effort.

His Level 2 experience showed that he needs further development in sustained contact and collection, as well as greater confidence in halt-to-lope and walk-to-lope departures, to be truly competitive at that level.

Works through a wide variety of obstacles both at home and away from home.

Crosses bridges, water, tarps, logs, ditches, hills, gravel, and varied terrain.

Has completed small jumps on the trail, at home, and as part of Working Equitation courses.

Taffy competed in Dressage, Ease of Handling, and Speed at Level 2 and completed clean rounds in both Ease of Handling and Speed. The footage provides an honest look at his current education: the areas in which he is already confident and capable, as well as the contact, collection, and transitions that are still developing.

About Raz
Raz is a quiet, personable gelding with a reported ranch-riding background and a steady, grounded nature. He neck reins easily and offers a straightforward riding foundation.
With another horse along, Raz is suitable for a beginner rider. Riding him alone requires a more confident rider, as he can hesitate or stop when uncertain. During his time with us, he has tended to pause rather than become reactive when something concerns him.
