Semi-Private Lessons

Thoughtful Coaching. Practical Horsemanship. Personalized Progress.

Understand More. Achieve More.

Our semi-private lessons are designed for riders who want personalized coaching in a supportive environment. With a maximum of just two riders per lesson, every session is tailored to your goals while helping you build a stronger partnership with your horse.

Whether you're developing a young horse, preparing for competition, building confidence, or simply looking to improve your horsemanship, we're here to help you continue moving forward.

Learn the Why

One of the things riders tell us they appreciate most is that we don't just teach what to do—we explain why.

By understanding how horses think, learn, and communicate, you'll leave each lesson with practical exercises, greater confidence, and the knowledge to continue progressing long after you leave the arena.

Weekly Riding Lessons

At Foundations, we’re proud to partner with the Lethbridge Therapeutic Riding Association (LTRA) to make horsemanship lessons accessible to riders of all abilities. Taught by Jay Skoog, Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) instructor, these programs combine the best of equine-facilitated wellness with structured, skill-building horsemanship education.

Whether you’re just beginning your riding journey or looking to refine your skills, lessons follow a clear CHA format to ensure progression, safety, and confidence at every level. Many of our students start as beginners, but the program is designed to support riders as they grow — offering pathways from foundational horsemanship through more advanced skills.

Through this partnership, lessons remain inclusive, affordable, and community-focused, while still providing the professionalism, structure, and individual attention every rider deserves.
